Our safety promises
Children should be able to learn to code without the risks of social media. These are the promises we make to every family.
Parents are in charge
Only a parent can create a child's account; children never sign up alone. You choose the nickname, avatar and password, and you can change them or delete the account at any time.
Nicknames and preset avatars only
Children appear with a nickname and one of our preset avatars. No photos, no real names, no schools.
No private messages
No adult can message a child, and children can’t message each other one to one. They talk only in moderated rooms for their team, class or event: under-13s use ready-made phrases, and parents can read along.
Leaderboards stay private
Weekly leaderboards show only a nickname, an avatar and XP. Public boards appear only if a parent switches them on.
Code runs in a locked-down sandbox
Students' code runs in a separate, locked-down sandbox on its own domain. It can't see anyone's account or send data anywhere.
As little data as possible
We only keep what learning needs, and nothing for advertising. For a child, that is a nickname, a year of birth and a country.
No ads, no trackers
There are no adverts and no tracking scripts, in the app or on this website. The only cookie here remembers your language.
